My story is coming soon!

Cats with feline leukemia virus (FeLV) have a compromised immune system and are at risk of developing other illnesses, but with proper care, the disease can be managed and cats can live long and healthy lives. FeLV is incurable, and transmittable to other cats, so cats with it should not be adopted into a home with other cats that do not have the disease. Contact us or your veterinarian for more information about feline leukemia virus. Please consider giving one (or more) of our FeLV kitties a chance to enjoy a loving home.

 Notes:  FeLV Positive
Bandit is a beautiful, long-haired, very shy boy. He isn’t pushy; he is usually the last one to eat. If you sit down, he will climb into your lap. He'll be especially happy if you have a brush in your hand.

Cindy

 Notes:  FeLV Positive
Cindy is a beautiful, independent little lady. She loves to chase the boys around in the Special Unit. She is very playful and enjoys playing ball.

One of our volunteers rescued Cindy from a bag in a lake. She was pregnant at the time. Her kittens were cared for by the same dedicated volunteer, so they would not be contract FeLV themselves.

Louie

Louie is a sturdy boy. He’s very friendly & enjoys petting & laps. Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) causes an infectious disease in cats similar to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection) in humans. It attacks and weakens the immune system, making the cat susceptible to infections and diseases that don't usually affect healthy cats. There is no cure for FIV, and the use of vaccines to prevent infection is somewhat controversial. FIV is a lentivirus, a virus that causes slowly developing disease. Though eventually fatal, an FIV-positive cat can live for many years without any signs of illness.
Merry
Age: YoungSEX: FemaleBREED: Domestic Shorthair DSHAdopt me
 Notes:  FeLV Positive
Merry came from an acreage where the owner wasn't taking care of her mother and siblings. Merry's mother was FeLV positive as well. Merry is outgoing, always ready for action. She likes to climb up high where she can view her surroundings.
