Pictures really do speak
louder than words! Here are some pictures of the South Street kitties in
new homes, as well as some "before" and "after"
pictures. It really does show that all the work has been worth it!

Simba several days after removal from
the South Street home. |
Simba today - the office cat. He
manages to convince every volunteer on each shift that no one fed him
during the last shift... |

Relatively speaking, Violet was in pretty
good shape when removed from the South Street house. Stressed out with
a bit of upper resp,
but in decent health. |
Now Violet relaxes before starting her
day running things here at the shelter. We got her to give up the
cigarettes and caffeine, but she won't give up that dang cell phone. |

| Topper was in pretty rough
shape when removed from the South St. house. He had a litany of ills,
and just from looking at him, his hip bones protruded, his eyes were
dull, and he looked almost frail, though not a small guy. His coat was
so thin and yucky, I thought he was a tabby... |
Now Topper is livin' the
good life. His new parents dote on him and he and his rescued brothers and sisters even have their own website.
Look at those bright eyes, bright white bib, and - look at that! He's
a bicolor! |

Jesse was the kitten that no one expected to survive. He
arrived at CHS from the South St. home in pretty bad shape. He was
lethargic and wouldn't eat. Volunteers down at CHS carried him in
their arms and hand fed him to keep him going.
When he got to us, he had started to perk up. He was eating and
continued to grow and improve. He was so mischievous, we nicknamed him
monster.com.
